For everyone still having this issue: after i tried to uninstall EmulationStation DE my roms did not show up in the rom manager anymore, the quick reset and custom reset did nothing for me. I removed every rom i still hat left from steam and i had to completely reinstall EmuDeck.

In the screen where you would normally download another controller config, in the top you can change priority from steam deck to controller.
