In fact, Sureño gangs such as Florence 13 (F-13), 18 th Street (18th or XVIII) and Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) are trans-national criminal organizations with links to international drug and human trafficking cartels.
The charging records link both men to the 16th/19th Street Sureños, a gang that federal prosecutors in the Bay Area linked to seven other homicides in a separate ongoing prosecution.
