Both are incisive in the lower treble, but the Bifrost 2 is smoother in the upper treble, whereas, the Qutest is going to be overall touch brighter in the entire treble region. I had an OG Bifrost 2 way back when, and thought it was a pretty competent amp. I then upgraded to a Soekris 2541, and then downgraded to the Cayin RU6. Used prices for the gungnir have fallen though, so you can pick one up for a hundred or a couple hundred more than a Bifrost with tax and shipping.
