How to lock subaru while running

I am wondering how I can accomplish running the car in the winter to warm it up before I leave work. Once running, I cannot lock it with the lock button on the door (it will just unlock itself again), and I can't lock it with the fob button. Any answers? I don't want to let it run while unlocked as someone could just drive off with it.
