In 1923 the Greek Orthodox Church held a “pan-Orthodox” synod (less than a general synod, but more than a local one) that revised the “Old” Julian calendar to what is now known as the “Revised Julian Calendar” (something very close to the Gregorian, although the formula is slightly different).
