Browning a5 problems

Jan 14, 2016 · For shooters having problems with post 2012 A5 ejecting,extracting. Browning has a new bolt head and extractor. This is a new design got it from Mid West Gun works the part # B1182200A7 and it's cheaper than original. Gun works now no problems. The original bolt extractor has been discontinued.

I may catch a lot of flak for this but the Browning A5's made in the last 10-12 years have been horrible. Multiple cases of them being sent back to the factory for not cycling, Browning shipping people extractors, etc. If I'm paying damn near $2000 for a gun, it better damn well work out of the box.When looking at the mag tube, it appears that the mag cap pushes down on the end spacer (movable end cap that the spring fits into) and this then blocks the last shell. Is there some way to fix this on my own. Install a shorter spacer, or follower,etc. Three of the 3" shells work fine as the over all length is shorter than 4 of the 2 3/4" shell.Set the single ring down by your reciever on the mag tube. keep the wide one with the bronze bushing up by your mag tube cap.
